In November 2013 we travelled to Asia for two weeks. We have two sensitive little toy Poodles, one of which is now completely deaf and blind in one eye.
Normally when we travel our poodles stay with a relative. As our relative was also going away we needed to find an alternative for our dogs, knowing they would not fare well in a kennel. We thought house sitters might be a good option. We found Mark and Emily on the Kiwihousesitters website. They were excellent communicators and when they initially visited our home our dogs warmed to them quickly.
We returned home, jet lagged, to two little poodles that looked beautiful (having been freshly bathed), happy and well cared for.
There were flowers in the house, washing was done and the entire home was spotless. Mark and Emily are genuine, reliable and good people whom we would highly recommend.

About our house sit
Our house sit in Blockhouse bay was looking after two gorgeous toy poodles Jed and Zara.
We were located within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to a dog park, meant we had some lovely days out in the late spring sunshine for us all. They are the most adorable dogs that love being around people, it was lovely to have so many cuddles and they enjoyed a swim and paddle in the sea.
Carolyn and Edward had their house on the market at the time, so we ensured it was kept clean and tidy and took the dogs for a walk when the estate agents called with viewings.
Jed is very old, deaf and blind in one eye so required a lot of help, love and patience. He also had a sore and was quite itchy while we were there so were able to renew a medication for him from his vet which helped.
Zara was a perfect princess and great companion for Jed. Young and sprightly, she was still running long after we had started carrying Jed on our walks.
Thank you Carolyn and Edward, we really enjoyed spending time with Jed and Zara.
